Welcome to Our Farm Site
In the "old" country it is still customary to sing or play on a flute a "gathering" song to collect the flock. Each flock and their guardian dogs would respond to its own shepherd's song. We continue our family and cultural traditions to tend and our flocks resulting in relaxed, peaceful animals and shepherds.
Our lambs and kids grow naturally on Wisconsin meadows. The cool northern summers of the upper Midwest produce outstanding clover pastures producing premium, lean lamb and kid in a healthy environment. Our animals live in the open air and sunshine. We do not confine our animals to stalls, on concrete or in feedlots. Quality of life for our animals is one of our main values.
We make a commitment to you to NOT use pesticides on our land and to use no animal byproducts as feed. No antibiotics or hormones are fed to our kids or lambs. When you buy from Shepherd Song Farm you support environmentally friendly, sustainable agriculture, healthy, relaxed animals and the rapidly disappearing family farm.
